PHP Fusion Core 7 - Released under AGPL v3

PHP-Fusion v7 is released under the terms and conditions of version 3 of the GNU Affero General Public License. For further information please visit www.fsf.org/licensing/licenses/agpl-3.0.html or refer to the agpl.txt file included in the distribution package. You may alter the code in any way you wish and redistribute it either as is or containing your own modifications but it is mandatory that you retain the "Powered by PHP-Fusion" footer copyright notice as described in the readme file included in the distribution package; or rephrased in such a manner that it does meet the following requirements as stated in the AGPL license text, as quoted:

An interactive user interface displays "Appropriate Legal Notices" to the extent that it includes a convenient and prominently visible feature that (1) displays an appropriate copyright notice, and (2) tells the user that there is no warranty for the work (except to the extent that warranties are provided), that licensees may convey the work under this License, and how to view a copy of this License. If the interface presents a list of user commands or options, such as a menu, a prominent item in the list meets this criterion.

This means that the copyright footer of PHP-Fusion may not be altered in such a way that it doesn't display our copyright notice in a way that isn't "convenient and prominently visible", meaning that no popups linked to graphic images, no tooltip-like solutions linked to images etc, are allowed.

With adherence to that, the Copyright Footer must contain the following:

• "Powered by PHP-Fusion" is optional but is requested for clarity purposes;
• Copyright PHP-Fusion 2002-2008 Nick Jones
- with "PHP-Fusion" linking to http://php-fusion.co.uk;
• Released as free software without warranties;
• Link to the Affero GPL version 3 license;
- http://www.fsf.org/licensing/licenses/agpl-3.0.html.

If the original version is modified and redistributed with less than 80% change, the Copyright Notice as per the terms of the Affero GPL version 3 must remain intact.

If the Copyright Notice Footer does not contain the 3 key elements as described above, this invalidates the license and could be subject to prosecution by FSF terms.

Licenses Available

There are two (2) different licenses available to be purchased. Please choose the appropriate license for your situation, if you have any questions regarding these licenses you may contact management@php-fusion.co.uk

* Copyright Removal - Only allows you to remove the copyright footer at the bottom of the web-page, it does not allow you to remove the copyright header inside the PHP files, nor does it allow you to modify and resell PHP-Fusion for any monetary amount.
* Proprietary License - This license removes you from all restrictions of the AGPL v3 and places you under a license written by PHP-Fusion management. Details of this license will be released in the near future.

Removal of Copyright notice from footer

This option allows you to remove the 'Powered by PHP-Fusion' footer copyright notice from one (1) specified domain. You will receive written authorization via email from the author (Digitanium) once your payment has been received.

Copyright removal from footer upgrade from earlier versions to v7: £20

PHP-Fusion v6 is released under the terms and conditions of version 2 of the GNU General Public License. For further information please visit www.gnu.org or refer to the gpl.txt file included in the distribution package. You may alter the code in any way you wish and redistribute it either as is or containing your own modifications. We would appreciate it if you retained the "Powered by PHPFusion" footer copyright notice. We feel this is fair when you consider the many hundreds of hours of work that continues to go into the development of this project. However, if you do remove the footer copyright notice please consider making a donation via Paypal.

Standard Setup Service

For a fee of £15 we will install one unmodified copy of PHP-Fusion for you on a server of your choice. The server must be running PHP and MySQL. We will require your ftp and database access details in order to install PHP-Fusion. Your details will be kept strictly confidential. Please note that we cannot and will not install any custom modifications or infusions under this Standard Setup fee.
